On the morning of Friday September 28th 2012 the United Methodist Church of Anna, IL had the privilege of serving the local high school football team and cheerleaders a warm and hardy breakfast. Each year the blue and white Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats gather in the Family Life Center of the church to begin a special game day. The evening of the 28th marked the 4-1 Wildcats 6th game of the season and the first against the 0-5 Sparta Bulldogs. Before the breakfast Rev. Brett Yates delivered a short message to the team about the gridiron of life and having Jesus Christ as their coach. The church members efforts made the event possible with people cooking, serving, decorating and cleaning up. The UMC of Anna wishes the best of luck to the AJ Wildcats on the rest of their season!
