The Prayer Room

The Prayer Room

By Lelia Spurlock

Taken from the book, “Is This The End?” written by Dr. David Jeremiah.

Roman 1:18 “for the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.  The biblical doctrine of God’s wrath is rooted in the doctrine of God as the good wise and loving creator.

Paul assured his readers that once they become Christians, they have no more need to fear God’s judgement.  By turning to God, they render themselves exempt from the whole purpose of those horrific seven years.

The Bible is filled with scriptures telling us that God’s wrath is strictly reserved for those who do not follow Him.  When God put Jesus on the cross, He exacted from Him the full penalty due for our sins.  Have you turned your life over to Jesus so you can be justified by His blood?

Ephesian 2:3-5 “By Grace you have been saved.”  We accept that gift by putting our trust in Him and He is a merciful God who is “Long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”  (2 Peter 3:9) He never forces us to come to Him, the choice is always ours.

Dear Jesus,

Open our hearts and minds to the realization that we need to be ready for you when you return.  We don’t want to spend time in the tribulation when we can spend that time in your loving arms.

We pray for the world and the people we love who haven’t decided that you are the most important thing there is.  You are the center of our world now and forever.

In the holy name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
